My Ideal Apartment

I am currently going to school in Oregon, however, I know that I want to live in New York City once I graduate. See, I'm aspiring to be either an elementary school teacher or a journalist. I also love the energy and the people in New York. I'm so excited for my future that I've already started apartment hunting! I came across this beauty at Vacancy.com, I think it's perfect! Not only is it only four blocks away from Central Park, it is also in extremely close proximity to Times Square, which is my favorite part of New York City. I think that being so central in New York is key, since I will be walking everywhere. But, also, if I pursue my career with journalism, it would almost be necessary to live in a place that inspires. The apartment itself is absolutely perfect and my idea of a New York apartment, completely. First of all, the facade is made of brick, has a rooftop terrace, and is neighbors with a skyscraper! I can just imagine walking home from work in my business attire with a smile on my face. I'd have a spring in my step, my hair would be flowing over my shoulders, I'd say hi to my neighbors as I passed them on the sidewalk. I can imagine going out on the town with new friends I had just met there, visiting Times Square, our smiles competing with the glistening lights there. Wearing dresses and high heels, channeling our inner Marilyn Monroe. I can imagine waking up on an early Saturday morning to my dog licking my face. The sun shining in through the window and spilling onto my sheets. I would get out of bed and make a cup of coffee, put on some running shoes, and walk the dog to Central Park. I'd spend the day there. I would walk around the entire park, sit in a rowboat, watch couples on the bridge, and read a book under a tree. Then, I would make my way home and cook spaghetti. In the winter time, I would squeal from my window as I watched the first snowfall. My dog and I would run outside and play in it until I couldn't feel my fingers. This apartment is me in a nutshell. It's made of brick, so it's old-fashioned and inspirational. It's also located near Times Square and Central Park, my two utmost favorite places in New York. This apartment is ideal, beyond perfect, absolutely amazing.
